Maison De Mars: Of Love and Threshold

Most often people have their own fantasy of their love-life. What you want your partner to look like, your perfect date or how your want your wedding to be. Down to the smallest detail like where you want your wedding, how beautiful your wedding dress is or even what kind of souvenir you plan to give out. We'd also think of what we think we can endure when it comes to love.

As we go through life and experience things of all sorts, we surprise ourselves at how we alter our dreams and exceed what we thought was our threshold for pain.

After a breakup, we'd cry rivers of tears and decide that we can't live without our partners. We'd often cry out that we can't take anymore. But when time has passed and memories forgotten, we'd fall for another and a new threshold is set. As long as we chose to open our hearts and free ourselves from the web of past pains, we continue to love and let ourselves be loved - a new threshold is set.

When we look back at how far our current level is at, it may surprise you that it's very different from how you once imagined yourself. But when will it stop? How will one know if they've already reached the limit? Or is there any limit at all?

I guess the answer would be, if you're with the person who loves you and treats you right, makes you happy and supports you when you're weakened, comforts you, never lies and hurt you, there's really no levels or limits.

We simply hope that the person you're morphing yourself for is the right one, otherwise I think it would be a shame to lose yourself for someone who won't be there for you till the end.

[Dallas Top 5] Restaurants for a Romantic Date

1. House of Wagyu Stonegrill

Great steaks for a nice date? Sure, why not. At House of Wagyu, you get the best slabs of genuine Wagyu beef, great wines and desserts. This restaurant in Eastwood Libis has a big dining area, so you may be able to get a table easily. They also have a branch in Podium.

 2. La Cuisine Francaise

French is the language of love. So what better way to express your love than in a restaurant offering authentic French cuisine? The ambiance is relaxed and the food is great.

3. Shokuji Bar and Restaurant

So, you love Japanese food and you want a place that’s totally behind-the-scenes in Makati? Well then, Shokuji is the perfect corner for you and your paramour. Don’t let its clandestine location fool you, this restaurant offers world-class yet traditional Japanese cuisine. I highly recommend their Ebi Tempura and Makis. This may be full of corporate big wheels during lunch, but I have yet to see this place full during dinner.

4. Osonho Portuguese Fusion Restobar

Osonho Portuguese Restobar in Jupiter is another very intimate and cozy place to celebrate Valentine’s. Apart from the unique cuisine offered, you and your date will surely have a great time exchanging stories here. Osonho lies on one of the least busy streets in Makati CBD. The best part is its close proximity to other restaurants, bars, and dessert cafes. So, you can easily go to another place for dessert or a cup of coffee.

5. Maitre Chocolatier Boutique Café

Maitre Chocolatier Boutique Café sounds like a place that only caters to your sweet tooth. Well, yes and no. It’s true that they infuse chocolate in all their creations, but they do not only serve up desserts. They have delicious sandwiches and even omelets. The best part about this place is its very private and cozy setting. If you do not want to get stuck in a standard coffee house along with 99% of all the other dating couples in Makati, this is the ideal dessert place for you.

WATCH OUT ! Are you dating a Gold Digger?

Any one of these signs will suggest that you're dating a gold digger

1. She only wants to go to expensive restaurants.
After impressing her on the first or second date, take her to a few inexpensive places like Red Lobster and see how she reacts. If she reacts unappreciative or complains, she is either a digger, or may be too high maintenance. Don't be a punk or weak for the panties and call the digger back. If you do, you may as well hire a dime quality call girl which will save you some money and more than a few migraine headaches in the long run.

2. She only suggests expensive gifts, trips, etc.
A gold digger will turn her nose up at heartfelt, sentimental gifts because she is eager for gifts that are caked with money and expects nothing less than 4 star accommodations and food venues, shopping at designer stores and exotic vacations.

3. She asks you to buy her something or borrow money early on in the relationship.
Unless you are fine with the idea of paying for your sex and the company of this woman, this is a red flag.

4. She’s overly concerned about your financial status
A gold digger is interested in hearing about your career and financial status from day one. She is a very manipulative woman who pretends to be interested in you by asking questions about your occupation so she can discover your job title, measure your earnings’ potential and ensure that you have plenty of income to spend on her and support her lifestyle. Yeah dude, she wants intimate details about how much you make.
If she is a dime and you are eager to soak up her panties, you may just want to play along, sex her, and then not call the digger back. She played a gold digging poker game with the wrong guy and lost.

5. She never pays for anything
When it comes time to pick up the check for a dinner, a movie or just about anything else the two of you are undertaking– she is nowhere to be found. If you are the one who is constantly shelling out money in the relationship, that should be your sign that she’s just using you.

6. She feels entitled
A gold digger will walk around feeling entitled to the good life without feeling any need to lift a finger to achieve it. Since she craves status and doesn’t have long-term goals, the gold digger expects to drive a brand new car with luxury features and wear $500 shoes without feeling any need to earn her own money to achieve it. This type of high-maintenance woman feels that it’s her right to be able to pursue her big dreams at the expense of financial stability, and, coincidentally, hasn’t considered who will foot the bill.

7. She attempts to trap men into pregnancy
Everybody knows that unless a woman decides to artificially inseminate herself, conceiving a child takes is a two person act and if you decide to have unprotected sex with a woman, then you should be man enough to accept the consequences. However, a gold digger will insist on having unprotected sex and will use lines like “I can’t feel it with the condom on, just take it off” and attempt to use guilt trips on you, i.e., “If you love me, why do you need a condom?”
A gold digger hopes to get pregnant so she can use it to her financial advantage as she sees kids as a lifelong financial insurance policy. She will intentionally stop using her birth control without you knowing and will even go as far as tampering with condoms prior to intercourse, i.e., putting a pin through her boyfriend’s condom package without him ever suspecting it.

8. She heavily relies on others
A gold digger knows that you don’t want to see her get an eviction notice, or get her car repossessed, and you’re a good person who will always be in a position to help, right? Wrong. There’s a big difference between someone who’s just fallen on bad times and a woman that completely relies on others for fulfilling her costs of living and purchasing needs.

9. She lacks any career aspirations
A gold digger will avoid the subject of getting a job and demonstrate that she has no intention of ever developing a career outright even she is perfectly capable of doing so.

10. She has dated multiple guys...like you!

Nothing Else Matters..

Nothing Else Matters by Metallica

So close, no matter how far
Couldn't be much more from the heart
Forever trusting who we are
And nothing else matters

Never opened myself this way
Life is ours, we live it our way
All these words I don't just say
And nothing else matters

Trust I seek and I find in you
Every day for us something new
Open mind for a different view
And nothing else matters

Never cared for what they do
Never cared for what they know
But I know

So close, no matter how far
Couldn't be much more from the heart
Forever trusting who we are
And nothing else matters

Never cared for what they do
Never cared for what they know
But I know

Never opened myself this way
Life is ours, we live it our way
All these words I don't just say

Trust I seek and I find in you
Every day for us, something new
Open mind for a different view
And nothing else matters

Never cared for what they say
Never cared for games they play
Never cared for what they do
Never cared for what they know
And I know

So close, no matter how far
Couldn't be much more from the heart
Forever trusting who we are
No, nothing else matters

-----------------------

The Essence of our who we really are, TRUTH, is "so close no matter how far." Truth is the only thing that will never ever betray you. It will never hurt you. Hence, "forever trusting who we are." When you get in touch with that, you know with absolute conviction that "nothing else matters." Usually, some people who experience intense pains suffering will reach a point where the pain is so bad that they open up in a new way (never opened myself this way) thus getting in touch with TRUTH.. and knowing, or more accurately, FEELING with absolute conviction that nothing else matters but that.

This song will mean many different things to those who hear it, but we can probably all agree that it's beautiful. I am big fan of metal and this song is unbelieveably gorgeous. It's about being apart from someone you love, whether it be a significant other; a loving parent; a precious child; a trusted friend; etc. The person trusts the relationship s/he has with another, and trust is a precious, beautiful yet all-too-rare aspect of the human condition. GORGEOUS song.

So much has been debated on this magnificent song..I agree with the many that have explained it as a love song. It emphasizes the power of love and being true to yourself. In my opinion, it is about true friendship between two persons, but more then any other song it reminds me of the eternal friendship between human and the One who created them, God. Never care for what troubled people say or do, because so many people are troubled and blinded and reflect this on others. Self-reflection or starting to recognize your own imperfection can come to surface as a result of other people's judgments. Find yourself with help of others and when you experience this, try to help other troubled people and do not be misled by those same- or other people. God does not divide us, only humans do. When we seek trust we can find it in our friends and family, but especially in God and his only son, Jesus. Everyday we get a chance to renew ourselves, and starting to accept and understand other people's different view brings us closer to our personal liberation.

When things in your life seem almost too much to handle

When 24 hours in a day are not enough, remember the mayonnaise jar and the 2 Beers. I heard the story many times but here it goes....
A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, he wordlessly picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.

The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was.

The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar was full.. The students responded with a unanimous 'yes.'

The professor then produced two Beers from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar effectively filling the empty space between the sand. The students laughed..

'Now,' said the professor as the laughter subsided, 'I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the important things---your family, your children, your health, your friends and your favorite passions---and if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full. The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house and your car.. The sand is everything else---the small stuff.

'If you put the sand into the jar first,' he continued, 'there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life.

If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff you will never have room for the things that are important to you.

Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness.

Spend time with your children. Spend time with your parents. Visit with grandparents. Take your spouse out to dinner. Play another 18. There will always be time to clean the house and mow the lawn.

Take care of the golf balls first---the things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand.

One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the Beer represented. The professor smiled and said, 'I'm glad you asked.' The Beer just shows you that no matter how full your life may seem, there's always room for a couple of Beers with a friend.

Maison de Mars: Trust vs. Mistrust

Trust is a very important thing to me as I am sure it is to everyone. Trust is what makes people stay friends. Without trust we will withdraw and never share our feelings, thoughts, emotions with anyone.

I have had friendships break up and I still hold the same secrets that were told to me during the friendship. I do this not only for those who have shared their secrets but for myself also. I feel there is integrity and honor in safeguarding trust, regardless of what happens to the relationship.

Trust is a sacred thing. The ability to hold that trust with honor and integrity when things may have gone awry is a highly admirable quality. Trust is such a fragile thing as well. Once broken it rarely grows again.

Everyone has had their trust violated at some point in time and it can be devastating.

Trust, honor, loyalty, a man is an empty vessel without these traits.

You know it, I know it, not everyone does.

We must be careful who we place our trust in, good judgment isn't always as good as we first suspected. We can't let a bad judgment or one pathetic person skew our view of humanity. It's more difficult in cyberland to make good judgments, but we are learning aren't we?

I realize that it is only a select few that have no scruples. Yes I am learning.

Our principles should not waver in the face of someone else's unprincipled behavior.

I find it hard to trust, but trust is an important part of friendship, in fact the most important.

Trust is what make the best and truest friends. Sadly, trust is one I do not give out to often, which in turn leaves me a bit friendless. Nobody really knows who I am, so I am able to be honest and trust that all secrets are well secrets!

Trust can be a dangerous thing to give to another, which in my opinion, is why it is hard to gain.

In the right hands it can be a devastating weapon or it could be the most wonderful thing a person could receive. I choose the second one myself.

I don't know you all that well, working on that though, but I still am wanting you to know that I am a person who sticks up for what is right and for the real truth. Its something I have striven for all my life. (is striven even a word?) If you need it I will be there for you or anyone who needs it. THAT is the truth!

"The trust I give.... too soon I fear.....is given well to you....If not returned to me....I know, mine was not undone."

House of Mars: Being poor ?

Being poor is the ultimate opportunity handed by a person.
Being poor is no excuse for being filthy & uneducated.
Being poor is no excuse for living in a dirty house & wearing dirty clothes.
Being poor is no excuse for living surrounded by clutter & garbage.
Being poor means that,. if you cant presently afford University/College you can still educate yourself until such time as that goal is within your reach.
Being poor means being surrounded by necessities...

....while being rich means surrounded by "things".

When you're rich you can buy perceived happiness but when you're poor you make your own happiness.
Some are born with a silver spoon in their mouths & some have to go looking for it. They end up a better people for chasing after it because they have to learn valuable lessons along the way.

Being poor means you start at the bottom & work your way up..I know its hard to work your way up, but the trip worth the effort. You ll never forget what you learned along the way.
Being poor means you have to give back to life, something to look up to, something to achieve.
Whereas, when your rich you are always looking down.

Stop saying "I'm poor, poor, poor!!"

Pretty soon you'll begin to believe it..

Start saying "I am a temporary financial disadvantage right now but I can do something about it"

House of Mars : Pureless pain... Love.

...choose me,
love me,
let me make you happy...

they say that when you love someone, you have to say it, shout it to the world...or the moment just passes you by. this is supposedly a very romantic but painful line especially for someone who can't do it. what is it with the love word that is scarily beautiful.

saying "i love you" takes courage.

what if you meet someone today who will turn out to be your "bestest man or woman in the world." however, he/she will always be a friend and nothing more. like he/she is the dream guy/girl who can never walk down the aisle with you because he/she has someone else. what would you do?
...snatch him/her,
take him/her to the altar for his/her dream girl/boy to marry?
love him/her in silence...

what if you love someone but he/she doesn't love you in return?
what would you do?
i will just love him/her for a month or so, just to feel the feeling of loving that someone
turn my back
leave everything behind and move on.

what about having a friend that you can never love
for other women/men he/she is close to perfect
but in some cosmic way you just can't see that in him/her
what would you do?
let time be the best judge
you might find yourself falling for him/her
just wish that it won't be too late,
he/she might find someone else who will love him/her in return

"And The Lord Said..."

And the Lord said, "Go."

And I said, "Who, me?"

And He said, "Yes you."

And I said, "But I'm not ready yet, and I'm busy with work, and I have this paper that's due, and you know we have that game this week."

And He said, "You're stalling."

And the Lord said, "Go."

And I said, "But I don't want to."

And He said, "I didn't ask if you wanted to."

And I said, "Listen. I'm not the kind of person to get involved. Besides, my family won't like it. And what would my friends think?"

And He said, "That's ridiculous."

And the Lord said, "Go."

And I said, "Do I have to?"

And He said, "Do you love me?"

And I said, "Look. I'm scared. People are going to hate me, and cut me up into little pieces. I can't take it all by myself."

And He said, "Where do you think I'll be?"

And the Lord said, "Go."

And I sighed, "Here I am Lord. Send me."

Feeling good ? bad ?

Have you ever been in a situation where you want the ground to open up and just swallow you raw...erasing you from the face of the earth? That is how i feel. I just could not reconcile how, in heaven's name did I get in the situation where i am now! Sad thing is, I don't feel any regrets for my decisions as they have made me or rather, who I am becoming...It is just so unfortunate that I have to find myself in a predicament were complication could not yet any worse between me and the people that are most dear to me.

I wish I could tell...so you would understand.

But there are some things that are left unsaid, not necessarily forgotten, but remain unspoken.

I wish I could runaway...to elope with the sanity that is left of me. But, until then, I shall keep my cool and composure as long as I can. There is no escaping this...none yet.

EMO Plus

Close enough to punk and rock Emo is now know for it's more emotional state of mind. Instead of the anger hard-core way of expressing one-self , Emo (short for emotional) has taken a new tole on the twentieth century of expressing yourself. From the music with strong emotion and feeling, unlike hard rock or this is more of an alternative way to let your feeling be known.Emo is not only a classification or a type of music it's also taken over the way one expresses themselves by dressing. It includes the tighter fitting pants to the dyed-black or dark hair with it covering your face. The longer hair in front with the spikes in the back is also a more Emo- or emotional look to dressing. Emo is also being known as for the hot emo guys and emo girls kissing. From pictures all on the web to the music videos. Hot emo girl to girl and well as hot emo guy to guy is becoming more and more adventurous and more open concluding; Emo meaning being comfortable with oneself. Its a more direct way of altering the feelings one has without words, just emotion.

Some say music is not a type of music. That it is more of a fashion and a way of feeling, hence the emotional. Just recently people have been considering emo to be a genre or music.. Taking back Sunday is one of the many bands people consider to be emo.

Wondering why everyone hates emo? Not all emo people are cry babies or suicidal. Many emo kids come from families which are having serious issues whether it being money issues or what have you...

Some Advice....

Don’t waste money on expensive iPods. Simply think of your favorite tune and hum it. To “switch tracks,” think of a different song.

Cinema Goers: Be considerate of pirate DVD viewers; piss before the film starts.

Rappers: Avoid saying "know what I’m sayin’" constantly by thinking first and then speaking clearly.

Don’t waste money on expensive paper shredders to prevent identity theft. Just drop a few dog turds in the same trash bag as your old bank statements.
Worried that your teeth will be stained after a heavy night of drinking red wine? Remove the stains by drinking a bottle of white wine before going to bed.

Soldiers: A digital camera will avoid all that messy court martial crap after a trip to the photo printers.

Murderers: Need to dispose of a body? Simply box it up and ship it to yourself via DHL. You'll never see it again.

Burglars: When fleeing from the police, wrap your right arm in a baby mattress in case the cops sic one of their dogs on you.

Employers: Avoid hiring unlucky people by tossing half the résumés in the trash.

Men: When listening to your favorite CD, turn up the sound to the volume you desire, and then turn it down three notches. This will save your wife from bitching about it and then doing it herself.

Bang two pistachio shells together to give the impression that a very small horse is approaching.

Blind people: At least give yourself a chance of seeing by taking off those heavy dark glasses.

Alcohol makes an ideal substitute for happiness.

Drivers: If a car breaks down or stalls in front of you, beep your horn and wave your arms frantically. This should help the car start and send them on their way.

Car thieves: Don’t be discouraged when nothing is visible. All the valuables are probably hidden in the trunk.

Depressed people: Instead of attempting suicide as a "cry for help," simply shout "Help!" to save money on drugs.

Motorists: Avoid getting prosecuted for using your cell phone while driving. Hide it inside a large seashell and the cops will think you're listening to the ocean.

Shoes last twice as long if only worn every other day.

Single men: Convince people that you have a girlfriend by standing in the mall with several shopping bags while looking at your watch.

Alcoholics: Don’t worry where the next drink is coming from; go to a pub, where large quantities are available at retail prices.

McDonald's: Make your take-out bags green in color so they blend in with the grass after we throw them out the car window.
